ANSWER 1:
All Martial Artist are welcome within the Zen Beikoku Shoto-Shinkai Karate-do Renmei, and the American
Shoto-Shinkai Karate-do Federation, regardless of Style and/or Rank or other Affiliation. The Annual Fee for Membership is $40.00 and includes Membership ID, Membership
Certificates with Recognition of Current Rank, and the opportunity to train at any Affiliated Dojo outside of your area at no cost. We also offer Seminars and Special Training
from our network of Affiliate Instructors, and we can provide Testing for additional Rank in person or via video when necessary.

ANSWER 2:
Although our Name reflects Funakoshi Sensei's name, and our art reflects what we can best describe as the study of
"Original Karate", we are not associated with the current Shotokan Style or the JKA (Japan Karate Association). We are currently studying the "Original Karate" of Anko Itosu,
which was designed for the Physical Education programs in the school systems of Okinawa. This was the Karate that Funakoshi brought to Japan when he first arrived. The "Original
Karate" also contains within it the deadly art, Shuri-te. It is easily converted back to Shuri-te by the expert practitioner when needed for self defense. It is here in the
converted state that we see the Jutsu side of our art. This is a two-fold blessing in that we have two complete curriculums of study, one for the children, and one for those
wish to learn the self defense. This is what Shoto-Shinkai is all about.

ANSWER 3:
Yes you can. It is always best to have an instructor watching your every move, but that is not always possible. We are building this Website to contain everything
needed to teach you the entire training syllabus of Shoto-Shinkai Karate-Do. We also offer video formatted lessons for those who need them. When coupled to seminars,
summer camps, and special visits you can be assured that where there is a will, there is a way. We also offer the lesson of the week from Professor Rouse, which is
archived on the Website for reference at any time.

ANSWER 4:
First and foremost, we are the product of the same situation. All of the founding members of this association were also independent instructors with many years of experience.
We also had the same needs you have for your school. We have sought out some of the most respected leaders of martial arts in America and in affiliation with them
the American Shoto-Shinkai Karate-Do Federation became a reality. This formulation process took us seven years to complete. This federation is the result of an
extremely dedicated effort.
We can benefit your school by:
1) By providing the International Rank Recognition you and your Students deserve, and
we can do that for very minimal expense. In fact as an affiliated Instructor you never have to pay for any testing or promotional fees for your self. It is our
privilege to serve you. Students promotional packages are provided for just $10.00 per student, including certificates and letters of congratulations from the National
Testing Committee on professional letterhead. You will be proud to provide your students with this level of quality recognition.
2) Commitment to you and your needs, whether they be support, logistics, technical
instruction, or any other. We are here to serve you and your students, and to provide to you the level of support you would expect from a premier organization.
